Anemia
Anemia is a condition in which the formation of red blood cells decreases. The most important component of red blood cells is hemoglobin and it carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. If there is a deficiency of red cells or hemoglobin in the body, oxygen cannot reach other parts of the body, due to which other parts of the body face problems in functioning.
There are many types of anemia which can be divided into three groups
(1) Anemia due to loss of blood: In diseases such as injury, childbirth or cancer, sometimes excess blood is lost, which causes anemia in the body.
(2) Anemia due to deficiency or defect in the formation of red blood cells: There are several reasons for the deficiency of red blood cells in the body. Such as not getting vitamins as needed by the body, iron deficiency, decreased bone mass or other diseases. In addition, smoking, being overweight or aging can also cause this disease.
3) Anemia due to destruction of red blood cells: Those whose red cells are weak will burst at the slightest pressure. The reason for this may also be that the patient or one of the parents has been anemic due to an infection and germs have entered the body. Apart from this, due to the toxins released from the body in liver or kidney disease, blood loss occurs in the body.
